01 / LOCAL DATA

Data handled by the app

Tool and machine references, local shop IDs, job and material descriptions, recorded use quantities, inspection observations, resharpening/service information, optional costs, notes, photos, units, and app settings are stored on the device. Version 1 has no ads, developer analytics, account system, location collection, or cross-app tracking. DUSTLINE does not receive these records automatically.

JSON backup and validated restore are free. CSV is an optional Premium export. A file leaves the app only when the user chooses its destination. QR labels contain only an app schema marker and local tool ID.

02 / DEVICE ACCESS

Photos, files, and QR camera

The photo picker opens only when the user attaches an existing inspection image. File and share pickers open only for requested backup, restore, export, or label output. Camera permission is requested only when a Premium user explicitly starts QR scanning; scanned local IDs and camera frames are not sent to DUSTLINE. Denial leaves manual ID search available. Version 1 does not request location, microphone, contacts, notifications, or broad storage access.

03 / GOOGLE PLAY

Optional lifetime purchase

Google Play processes the optional lifetime Premium purchase and restore and may process purchase, device, and account information under its policies. The app receives the store-formatted price and entitlement status needed for the purchase flow. DUSTLINE does not receive full payment-card details.

04 / RETENTION

Retention, deletion, and product boundary

Records remain until the user archives or deletes them, clears app storage, or uninstalls the app. Exported copies must be deleted separately at their destination.

The app displays user-recorded observations and arithmetic totals only. It does not determine safe remaining life, machining parameters, tool suitability, inspection certification, or accounting accuracy. Follow applicable machine, tool, holder, material, and workplace procedures.

The app is a general workshop utility and is not directed to children under 13.
