01 / LOCAL DATA

Data handled by the app

Machine profiles, material and batch descriptions, thickness, operation and test parameters, user ratings, result tags, notes, favorites, selected photos, units, and app settings are stored on the device. The app has no advertising SDK, developer analytics, account system, location collection, or cross-app tracking. DUSTLINE does not receive these records automatically.

JSON backup and validated restore are available without Premium. CSV is an optional Premium export. A file leaves the app only when the user chooses a file or share destination; that destination then governs its copy.

02 / DEVICE ACCESS

Photos and files

The Android photo picker opens only after the user chooses to attach an existing test-result image. A selected image is copied to app-local storage. File and share pickers open only for a user-requested backup, restore, or export. Version 1 does not request location, microphone, contacts, notifications, or broad storage access.

03 / GOOGLE PLAY

Optional lifetime purchase

Google Play processes the optional lifetime Premium purchase and restore. Google may process purchase, device, and account information under its policies. The app receives product, purchase, and entitlement status needed to display the store-formatted price and unlock features. DUSTLINE does not receive or store full payment-card details.

04 / RETENTION

Retention, deletion, and safety boundary

Records remain until the user archives or deletes them, clears app storage, or uninstalls the app. Exported copies remain at the destination selected by the user and must be deleted there separately. Users should keep backups of important records.

The app records user-entered observations. It does not control a laser, certify a material, or recommend a safe or successful setting. Users must follow their equipment and material manufacturers' safety instructions.

The app is a general workshop utility and is not directed to children under 13.
